About

Hi

There!

As a woman I have always felt the innate sense that it was my duty to keep a neat and tidy home. Growing up with great-grandparents raised in the great depression and my own parents being raised during the fastest economic boom led to a lifestyle that facilitated over consumption.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I am not the only one that has lived in a home that was stocked full. Every cupboard, closet, drawer, and crawl space had copious amounts of stuff. Some useful, some seasonal, some that might come in handy one day, some kept out of sheer self imposed obligation.

Until reading Marie Kondo’s book "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up" in 2016 I did not know all of the “things” I had accumulated were telling the story of my life and holding me back from actually living it. I spent more time than I would care to admit moving, cleaning, and organizing my “stuff”.
